Hey There, its Grable. I’m sitting in my home studio right now writing and ruminating on the overal story of this album. I like to stop and do that from time to time during the writing and production to make sure that the vision is still being met while also conveying well to the listener… hopefully.

This is the part where i get to pretend im not me and i didn’t write it. I get to pretend im just a stranger who heard this for the first time. I wish i could hear my music as a stranger fully sometimes, however i dont relish the idea of how that would have to come to be.

I hope you all feel and see and hear a vision here, and I can’t wait to hear what you take away from these songs. Thank you for always sharing with me

Hey there Gravens.

I am so sorry for the gap in updates. I was sick for a few days with a cold, but nothing too serious. I spent most days asleep or in bed until i recovered, and now im feeling back to myself. Unfortunately i had to miss rehearsal last Saturday though.

I did manage to get a little writing done while i was in bed, So i would like to share with you one of the songs on the Dark side.

“Empty Space”
Lyrics:
The chandelier is blinding, the laughter’s loud and clean
They talk of future plans, a perfectly painted scene
I nod along and smile, but the muscle memory’s wrong
I’m wearing all my best beige, trying to belong
But the quiet in my head is a siren’s sudden scream
I’m just a shadow in this hyper-colour dream.

This happy room is an empty space
Too wide, too bright, no corners to embrace.
Ninety percent of my life was built on chipped concrete,
So these polished floors feel shaky under my feet.
I don’t know the language of “easy” and “free,”
I just know the weight of the person I had to be.
And now the shield is down, I’m waiting for the punch,

I want to share with you all a demo of “Glass Box.” A new song about how to overcome Anxiety, that will make it’s way onto the Dark Light album(light side).

I would love to hear your thoughts on it if you feel like sharing.

I woke up this morning to the chickens again, it’s lovely I must say. Got dressed, cleaned the kitchen, mopped the floors, then it was time for lunch. Lunch was delicious, and the seagulls and lake fountain made it feel like a lunch at the beach. I love fall in Florida. It’s the perfect temperature and breeziness. 🍃

During lunch I was contemplating the next steps on this album production, and I’m think my next step is to finish the dark side fest, and then work on the light side. At least in production, might need to reach out to a few people for those extra ears and expertise on these songs, because I am VERY CLOSE to them and it’s making mixing and even some production very heavy.

Today I am a bit relaxed by the almost constant rain from a nearby tropical storm Imelda.

When i read that name i think of the Disney movie COCO. really enjoyed the music in that film.

I did start writing another song, unrelated to the album i think, while livestreaming on instagram this evening. Thanks to those who tuned in. <3

As i sit in my home studio tonight writing this, I don’t feel guilty for taking the day of rest from the production of this album. I day dream ( manifest?) of a day when Grable music employs many others for events, concerts, and more.

I should be back to the production grind tomorrow.

09/28/2025 – Yesterday I was working on the live performance of grable, which includes some songs from the upcoming album. So i wanted to share a couple shots with you all from rehearsal yesterday.

09/26/2025 – Good afternoon <3

Last night I had a realization on how to bypass my social anxiety, so naturally i decided to put it down on paper in the form of a song on the Dark Light album.

Here is a breakdown of the current status of the album.

09/23/2025 – Happy Tuesday everyone. I have been in the studio this morning since about 9am (it’s now 12:30pm) working on Vintage Sin. The production is mostly completed, however the intro and first verse needed some special attention for this track. Giving it a vintage radio opening feel before getting into the meat and potatoes of the song. This song represents when a great trauma or loss has happened that causes a weakness in your armour against all sin, making you vulnerable. Stay true to your path and you will prevail without falling victim to the darkness.

09/19/2025 – Happy Friday my Gravens 🖤 Woke up this morning ready to tackle the day and dive deep into this album. I’m working out the unfinished lyrics on track 1 (Abstract) today. This requires me to really dig deep and think back to when I was young, in order to convey the experience when I first developed a sense of self.

I have grabbed a quick hot cocoa to start the day, and the weather is just cool enough to be contemplative, but not too cold. 😊 More updates to come. – Grable
